An improvisation has been added inorder to change this traditional goan recipe into a typical mallu dish.All are welcome to try this yummy recipe.
Each and everyone are allowed to improvise a little bit.You can change the meat from pork to beef .
Beef is strictly prohibited in parts of india.You should keep that in mind.
Ingredients;
pork-1/2 kg
pepper powder-1 tsp
Garlic-6 cloves
Ginger -2"piece
Fenugreek seeds-1/4 tsp
cardamom-2
cloves-2
cinnamon-2"piece
cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1 tsp.
Mustard seeds -1tsp
Chilly powder-1 1/2 tbsp
Tomato 1 -big chopped
Onion -1 big chopped
Vinegar -1 tbsp.
Crush the ginger and put in to the mixer.remove the peeling of cardamomand put into the mixer.Add the remaining ingredients mentioned above into the mixer.Add vinegar and make it into a paste.Grind it into a fine paste.paste should be thoroughly mixed onto the meat.Add the necessary salt.Marinate it finely and leave it for 2 hours untouched.Heat up 1 1/2 tbsp oil in a pressure cooker.Add onion and fry until it turns golden colour.Add tomatoes into the pan and fry it well.Marinated pork meat needs to be added.Fry for a minute.Add 1/2 cup of water.Thoroughly mix well.Cover it and cook it in low flame for 10 minutes after the first whistle.Cook it in low flame until the gravy is ready.
